HPD Violation Focus

The problem: every NYC HPD violation comes with a long, code-heavy description. Researching a building meant reading every one of them to find the few that mattered.

What I built: a Chrome extension that reads the HPD Online violations page for you. It tags each violation by type, highlights the key words, and hides the noise.

  • Auto-tags 8 violation types: mold, pests, lead paint, peeling paint, leaks, electrical, plumbing, ceramic tiles
  • Counts per category with a Class A / B / C breakdown
  • Focus mode and "Next match" to jump between results
  • One-click summary and CSV export for reports and CRM notes

The challenge

Lead lists go stale fast. When a violation is weeks old, or the name on the list isn't the person who makes decisions, calls rarely turn into real conversations.

What I built

FindXProp pulls the latest HPD violations and filters them down to the buildings that matter. It pairs each one with its registered managing agent, flags contacts already in the CRM, and splits the list evenly between callers.
